Tuesday in the Octave of Easter

Jesus said to her,

Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you looking for?

She thought it was the gardener and said to him,

Sir, if you carried him away, tell me where you laid him, and I will take him.

Jesus said to her,

Mary!

She turned and said to him in Hebrew,

Rabbouni

— John 20 11-18

Most loving Lord how many times how many days have I walked by you distracted by the things of this world, my plans, my goals, my fears, my worries, and yes, even my joys.

Help me today and in the days to come to remember that you are always close at hand. That your presence is reflected in the face of my brother and my sister, who you touched through the comforting hand of a friend, and your voice in whisper of the winds and songs of the natural world. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
