Memorial of Saint Gregory the Great

The peace of the Lord be with you. Have you ever found yourself inspired by someone or something that you heard? Inspiration can help us to find the energy to keep moving forward in the face of fatigue and or poor results. It appears that after hearing Jesus teach that Peter and his fellow fisherman were ready to try again despite their fatigue and poor results. They were not only ready they were sent. The results were overwhelming and Peter knows it was not only by his efforts but the hand of God that that was responsible for such a yield.

Today we too are being sent to drop our nets into the deep. To do our work effectively and gracefully we must have the proper tools to aide us. The Word of God, trust, humility, and self denial are some of tools that God provides us to help us to build and heal His kingdom here on earth. May God bless our efforts today. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
